What's new in Version 5?

For two years we worked on Version 5. The user interface was newly applied. We programmed new windows and improved upon countless details. As usual the most important factor is the useability when set into practice. Here the most important innovations – with one click on the respective picture you can enlarge it.

Colour Palettes

You now receive colour palettes for all colour systems, e.g. CorelDraw palette (cpl) or for the Adobe Creative Suite (ase). Approximately 30 of the most useful programs from the Graphic– and Architecture area are supported.

Over 100 New Colour Systems

With the new version you remain current regarding new colour systems.

Colour Value Clipboard

The current colour values can be added into other files using the clipboard – highly practical e.g. for web design!

Highly improved CMYK Database

The software now contains a measurement of the DCS BOOK Professional from grafipress. With its 65000 CMYK colour fields this is the best, known to us, CMYK reference. The extensive measurements were worth it as the CMYK-calculations become more highly exact through this process. The CMYK-Databases of the handinhandbuch were also further improved.

Prepress-Functions: Porportion of Black and Colour Application

Important for print professionals: In the CMYK-area you can now manage the porportions of black, complete colour application and the amount of individual print colours according to desire (UCR, GCR).

Grouping of Systems

Group your colour sytems into sensible units. This is especially useful for colour comparisons, when e.g. the question is which foil lettering, regardless of manufacturer, is equivalent to a given colour (only available in the full version).

Barrierfree Colours

Important for architects and painting enterprises: The DIN 32975 has been in existence since 2009, according to which identification of operational and guidance elements have to be applied barrier free in terms of colour in public space. The barrier free, conforming to standards expansions of an original colour can also be determined within every colour system.

Colour Difference

Valuable for colour technicians: Compare two colours in detail and let diverse ΔE-values (CIE 1976, CMC I:c, CIE 1994, CIE 2000) be calculated for you.

Colour Variation

Valuable for designers: This window shows the variations of L*, a* and b* of any given input colour.

Colour Mood

The option to animate the combination was created and the operation was simplified.

Colour Range

The window was amended with additional useful functions.

L*a*b* Colour Atlas

Along with the diverse RGB and CMYK atlases in pdf-format a L*a*b* atlas is now also available. It gives an overview over the L*a*b* colour space. Herewith you can match the L*a*b* colours on the printer and quickly determine the print variations.

Easy Matching

...was integrated into the standard colour selector. Such a simple colour selection process is not available in any other programs. In this manner you can quickly produce exact monitor colours. In contrast to V4 a horizontal bar was expanded which lists all of the applied colour tones and offers a back function.

ColourDesigner

Using this practical tool you can colour photos with colour tones from all colour systems.

Colour Harmony

The colour harmonies are displayed full screen and in full glory. Additionally they are no longer set: You can now customise every colour harmony to your demands – this offers room for more colour dynamics and your own ideas. Thirdly you can now save the colour harmonies.

PDF Testfiles

The colour overviews of all colour systems are now prepared in L*a*b* – best possible base for the ouput on any given devices.
